THE CLIMATE

Devonport's climate is very different from Sheffield's for the Inland District. Devonport's July minimum monthly temperature is 3.7 degrees Celsius, while Sheffield's is 2.5 degrees Celsius. During the summer dry season (December and January), rainfall inland is lower, but it is 20% higher during the May-August peak. Sheffield received 159 millimeters of rain in July, while Devonport received 114 millimeters in August.
