THE CLIMATE

With average maximum temperatures of 25º or lower during this crucial ripening period, Ballarat's climate provides a mild and prolonged ripening period. In fact, because Ballarat is so cool, we harvest our grapes in March and April, which is a long time after some regions have finished fermenting their wines.
