The Limestone Coast wine zone is made up of several wine regions, including Coonawarra, Mount Benson, Mount Gambier, Robe, Padthaway, and Wrattonbully. It is south-east of the metropolitan area of Adelaide.
THE CLIMATE
Due to its Mediterranean climate, the area experiences natural year-round weather variation, with hot, dry summers and cold, wet winters.

The Limestone Coast is a huge area with many different kinds of land and features that have changed over millions of years.Different soils have been created throughout the region by the processes that shape it, each with its own inherent management strategies and susceptibilities for farming.
