Western Australia - Peel

More than 200 hectares of vineyards line the Darling escarpment south of Perth in the Peel Wine Region. Peel is one of Perth's coastal playgrounds because of its prime waterfront locations and vineyards.

The maritime influence creates ideal growing conditions for numerous red and white grape varieties in the Mediterranean climate of the region. Fruit with the best flavor and intensity is produced because of the prolonged ripening period brought about by the coastal climate and cooler influences from the Indian Ocean. There are a number of cellar doors in the area that have views of vineyards, olive trees, and natural bushland, all of which add to the region's appeal.
